Action Furnace has reached out to the Board after installing a number of air conditioning units upon noticing the majority of our furnaces and hot water tanks are nearing end of life.

As a thank you to all owners for being the preferred contractor for AC installs they are offering group discount rates for both hot water tanks and furnaces.

Unlike AC you are not required to use Action Furnace for these replacements but all owners will still receive the group discount if they do use them as the vendor.

Regal Park Furnace and Hot Water Tank options

Generally speaking for natural drafted hot water tanks and power vented for that matter we use the same company called Bradford White. As for furnaces other then a couple exceptions we use the Amana brand as they offer the best warranties in the furnace industry on the the 2 stage and modulating technology. In general a unit owner should have hot water needs met with a 40 gallon hot water tank.

All installations include a gas permit for inspection , vent, chimney liner chimney cap , all installation, warranty and installation/performance guarantees . Along with venting kit, venting termination and coring we will also register warranty on unit owners behalf and removal and proper disposal of old equipment will be included.

Carbon monoxide detectors within 15 feet of bedrooms battery only will also be included to adhere to 2020 Calgary bylaws Furnace sizes will fluctuate between 40,000 btu’s and 60,000 btu’s , this will be confirmed when your home is measured during the quote process.

All new furnaces will cover same physical footprint as existing furnaces so no floor changes/retrofits will be required.

** Venting note – depending on the unit you will be offered a single pipe, 2 pipe or both options when considering your venting preference. Please make note high efficient furnaces requires venting to go out the outside wall of the unit. The pipe will measure 2 inches in width. We will be offering unit owners a couple different venting termination options depending on their preference.

Installation with furnaces will usually take 6 hours with the chance of it taking up to 8 hours in certain cases depending on the job scope but nonetheless a 1 day installation. Please make note that no work will commence before 9 am.

Furnace prices can fluctuate with a number of different technological options versus air conditioning but this should help create a good idea on pricing within the different technological options of 1 stage, 2 stage and modulating

1. Single stage with multi speed fan furnace options will fluctuate in price (model AMES92)

$3504 - $4879 ( warranty will fluctuate) Our basic and most reliable option, single stage will offer comparable comfort to what existing furnaces are offering with a number of different warranty packages.

2. 2-Stage variable speed dc drive (model AMVC96)

$5199 - $5599 (includes comprehensive 12 year parts and 12 year labour warranty and 99 year UNIT replacement on heat exchanger) this is the best warranty you can have on a furnace and ensures the unit owner gets it done right the first time with no chance of having to do it a second time. 2 Stage technology is a nice improvement from the systems in place and will improve comfort , run quieter and reduce unit owners utilities by 20 percent or better.

3. Modulating variable speed dc drive (model AMVM97)

$5899 - $6299 Carries the same warranty as 2 stage but is ultimately the most quiet performance, most even temperature and most efficient. Everyone will like this option but it’s simply a matter of value and will be treated on meeting the comfort needs on a unit to unit basis.

Hot Water Tanks

When the Bradford white hot water tank is bundled with a furnace for a 40 gallon price will be $1190 plus gst and includes supply, installation, plumbing, materials and warranty along with disposal of existing unit.

If hot water tank is installed on it’s own this can certainly be coordinated at a price of $1490 plus gst.
